Pilini Marine delivered two of its 34 SCX catamarans on December 23 and 24 through Agles motorsports to make some very happy holidays for the news owners.
The 34 XCS catamaran has a five-step sponson with a 34’3” running surface, a wide tunnel and a 10’3” beam. Lightweight construction is achieved through advanced bagged Kevlar/foam core layup. Fuel tanks are aluminum, which is better for durability and they can’t be eaten away by ethanol-based fuels.
A wraparound windshield is incorporated into the aerodynamic deck design. The high-backed bucket seats for six are finished premium upholstery. The dash panel can be configured to accommodate conventional instruments of a variety of multifunction displays from Mercury and others such as Garmin and Raymarine.
Initial offerings of the boat were powered by with 400-hp Mercury Racing Verado 400r outboards. With the twin outboards, the Pilini 34 XCS boat easily tops 110 mph and has the smooth ride you’d expect from a boat designed by the same company that produced multiple world and national championships in offshore powerboat racing. A stern drive version is available with the space needed to accommodate most popular stern drives.
